Club Bylaws - As approved May 5, 2007

Article I - Name

  • This organization shall be known as the Disciples of Justice Motorcycle Club. The proprietary founders, reserves all rights to the control and design of the emblems, patches (colors), the name Disciples of Justice Motorcycle Club, bylaws and membership requirements.

Article II - Bylaws

  • These Bylaws may be amended at anytime by the National Chapter without any prior notification.

Article III - Memberships

  • All members must own a V Twin or larger (cruisers, choppers, bobbers, touring) type motorcycle, but not limited to any specific motorcycle brand.
  • Full Members: Active or retired Law Enforcement, Corrections Officers, Federal Intelligence Field Members and Executive Protection Specialists.
  • Immediate family members are to include significant others and children that are at least 18 years of age.
  • Select non-family civilians of at least 18 years of age with:
    1) Endorsement of two full members in good standing from the specific chapter
    2) Percentage of non family civilians to full member ratio never exceeds 20% in specific local chapter.
  • Any member may be expelled or suspended from the Disciples of Justice Motorcycle Club by the National Chapter for behavior considered detrimental to the Club.

Article IV- Code of Conduct

  • Respect All - Fear None.
  • Keep it in the wind but, remember your police oath and that you are not above the law.
  • A local chapter who asks for the removal or suspension a current member for just cause, shall give written notification to the National Chapter within thirty days of the infraction, with the member's name, full street address, email address and phone number, giving full details of their infraction, for the removal or suspension. The said member will have thirty days to respond in writing. The National Chapter shall have the power to expel or suspend any chapter member for just cause.

Article V- Meetings

  • Chapters are encouraged to conduct club business utilizing the internet. There will be no mandatory business meetings. Individual chapters will determine a voluntary meeting schedule. This clubs purpose is to create camaraderie without more obligations for its members.

Article VI- Dues

  • The sum of one hundred fifteen ($115) dollars will be sent to the national chapter for each new member. Thereafter a fifteen dollar per member annual dues will be paid to the National Chapter between February 28th and March 31st of each year. Nonpayment of dues will result in suspension of membership and possible dismissal. Yearly dues will not be pro-rated.

Article VII- Patches ("Colors")

  • Patches (Colors) are the property of the Disciples of Justice Motorcycle Club's National Chapter and no issuance of the "colors" to a member should be construed as anything less.
  • A member who leaves the club must turn in his colors, and any other items that denote membership in the club.
  • The Disciples of Justice Motorcycle Club's name and emblems are copyrighted material and cannot be reproduced by any individual, chapter member, or local chapter without written approval from the National Chapter.

Article VIII - Lone Members/Chapters

  • Any person eligible for full membership may join the Disciples of Justice Motorcycle Club without joining a specific local chapter. The member will display only the state bottom rocker he/she resides or works in.
  • Three persons eligible for full membership rights are needed to form a chapter. All members will display the state rocker only on their colors for one year. The chapter may then apply to the National Chapter for lower rocker reflecting their local chapter name.
  • The National Chapter will issue the new bottom rockers reflecting the local chapter name for a reasonable, undetermined fee per rocker to cover the expenses. As new members join the local chapter they will be issued the bottom rocker reflecting the chapter's name without having to display the state rocker first.

Article IX- Chapter Officers

  • Their will be no officers in any local/state chapter, all members are equal; this is a brotherhood/sisterhood of riders. Chapter decisions are made by the majority rule; any issues needing to be arbitrated will be taken before the National Chapter. The need to take an issue before the National Chapter should be cause for all members of the local chapter to conduct a self examination. Decisions made by National Chapter are final.
  • National Chapter will be advised in writing, of any use of the Disciples of Justice Motorcycle Club, name, emblems, patches or colors.
  • One full member (normally one of the founders) should be appointed as the contact person from each local chapter to the National Chapter. This person will notified and keep the National Chapter abreast of club functions, news, requests for new memberships, fund raisers, etc. in writing.
  • Nothing in these bylaws deny the ability of any club member the right to plan club functions or rides. All full members will be given the opportunity to ride any formation position such as road captain, point, tail gunner, etc. It is advised that the member planning the ride, request the formation position, while making it safe to the entire group of riders.

Article X - Liability

  • The Disciples of Justice Motorcycle Club accepts no responsibility or liability for the actions of any of its members or chapters.
